We are a small school of approximately 30 children, between the ages of four and eleven plus.
The school is organised into two key stages:
Each key stage is made up of children of mixed ability, who are taught in a group, class or individual basis depending on their needs.
The beauty of a school where age groups are mixed is that everyone knows everyone else, and older pupils develop a nurturing attitude to their younger classmates.
The School Council comprises of one representative from each year group. Elections are held at the start of each school year, and all the children vote for the new School Councillors. The School Council has many roles including raising funds for charities. Charities the School Council have chosen to support recently have included Helen's Trust and Unicef.
2016/17 School Council
The School Council have conducted questionnaires with all the children about their happiness and safety in school. As a result of these questionnaires, the School Council has introduced a buddy system in the school playground so the children have someone to go to should they feel lonely at break time. The School Council buddies can be easily recognised by their red caps.
